IRS Extends 2019 Tax Return Filing Deadline

According to an IRS press release issued on March 21st, the IRS has extended the deadline for U.S. taxpayers to file their 2019 tax returns. The IRS advises that the roughly 90-day extension until July 15th will be provided automatically to all U.S. taxpayers, and applies to all tax payments owed for 2019 as well. However, taxpayers who need additional time to file their tax returns after July 15th must submit an IRS Application for Extension of Time to File.
